Ah, but that's when you need a VCR with a slow-motion / still-advance feature!
Just play in slomo, set the grabber timer to grab as each frame comes up, and
sit back and watch it grab perfect sequences.
Just make sure that you have loads of harddrive space and enough RAM to keep the
grabbing going without hassles.

I did this when I first got my Vidi24RT and Prograb24 and digitised sequences
from Aladdin and Return of the Jedi. And also some footage off some home videos
and did some speeding up and flashing certain frames for that "music video" look
that was popular all those years back.
